Pickford
Everton have 30m bid accepted. Can see us getting left further behind as we scrape around the bargain basement end of the market.

Re: Pickford
That's an obscene amount of money for a keeper who hasn't even played a full season.
I'd rather we were in the Championship than compete at that level of lunacy.
I pray that soon both Sky and BT go bust.

Sure did. And he come back with the right attitude. However feels like everyone wants out.

Something happened behind the scenes regarding Adrian

Do you not remember the shocking form he was in when he got dropped?

A good bullet to have dodged if we spend the money where it's most needed.

Re: Pickford
Given the needs of our squad if we were going to spend 30 million on a single player I would rather it be on an outfield player.

Re: Pickford
Don't really think Pickford is any better than Adrian.

People raving about him because he is young and English. He'll look good playing for a shit side with plenty to do but he's chucked a fair few in the net.

Adrian broke into the Spain squad and just needs to get back to top form.

Only De Gea, Lloris and Courtois would be definite upgrades.

Bit small for a top keeper also.

Re: Pickford
would have loved to have signed pickford for around 10 million. For 30 million everton are welcome to him, ridiculous amount of money.

Re: Pickford
Pickford is class, will continue to improve and will be around for years. £30m really isn't a lot of money these days.

You get what you pay for and we definitely need an upgrade keeper-wise.

Re: Pickford
Something happened behind the scenes regarding Adrian. Either a falling out with Slav. Or maybe the SPIVY CUNTS feel they can get a price for him.? Or maybe the guy had enough of the whole Mickey Mouse outfit.? Either way it seems we in the market for a new No1.

Adrian on form played his way into the Spain squad. We should stick with quality when we lack it elsewhere

Agree with that.

Adrian got his place back at the end of the season after a difficult spell. He should gain back some form and confidence, with our support, and could continue to improve. For a keeper he hasn't even reached peak age, we may not have seen the best from him yet.

Re: Pickford
In a world where a shithouse like Joe Hart is worth 175k a week this doesn't seem as bad. 30m is a lot of wedge for a keeper though.

Re: Pickford
Leroys - why not? They would have spent £25m on Zaza last season had he been any good.

Re: Pickford
£30m much better spent elsewhere for us.

Re: Pickford
Should we be spending 30 on Lickford ?...probably not

Will we spend 30 mill on any player...no Fucking chance

Re: Pickford
I'd say the biggest winner in all that is Sunderland. 30mil is tremendous business for a relegated side.

Re: Pickford
If I was going for a keeper it would have to be Heaton. Immense this season, we'd be a step up for him, and at his peak with at least 4 years left in the tank.
